Walker & Dunlop is committed to help end the plight of homeless Americans. The company has been a proud sponsor of the Fannie Mae's Help the Homeless Walkathon since 1988 and continues to be a major sponsor of the annual walkathon.
Since its inception in 1988, Fannie Mae's Help the Homeless program has grown into the largest funding collaborative focused on homelessness in Washington, D.C. The program raises awareness of, and funds for, Washington, D.C. metropolitan area homeless service providers, with an emphasis on programs that assist the homeless in their return to independent living.
Walker & Dunlop sponsors Woodley House and Georgetown Ministry Center through its Help the Homeless fundraising efforts. In 2009 Walker & Dunlop raised $73,000 on behalf of these beneficiaries.
