Richard C. Warner is executive vice president and chief credit officer. Mr. Warner served as a senior vice president and chief underwriter of Walker & Dunlop,LLC or its predecessors since September 2002. As executive vice president and chief credit officer, Mr. Warner is responsible for our portfolio management department, which includes day-to-day management of our Asset Management and Underwriting groups.
Prior to joining the company, Mr. Warner held a number of leadership positions with Main America Capital and its successors, a company that originated commercial and multifamily loans nationwide. From 1994 to 1998, Mr. Warner was the president of Main America Capital; from 1998 to 2000, he was vice president of originations for RFC Commercial; and from 2000 to 2002, he was vice president and branch manager for GMAC Commercial Mortgage. In 1978, Mr. Warner started his career with Canada's Confederation Life Insurance Company, where he held a number of successive positions, ending as mortgage and real estate vice president in 1994. While with Confederation Life Insurance Company, Mr. Warner was a member of the Green Park Financial Board and Loan Committee from 1989 to 1994. Mr. Warner received his Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from McGill University.
