Brief History (Senior Housing)
2003: Column Guaranteed is formed when Credit Suisse purchases Standard Mortgage Corporation
2006: Green Park Financial makes $500M+ assisted living portfolio loan with Fannie Mae
2009: Walker & Dunlop acquires certain assets of Column Guaranteed to build out its HUD and Freddie Mac originating and underwriting capabilities. Credit Suisse retains a minority stake in the new company.
2009: Hired Doug Bath to build a dedicated healthcare platform. Previously, Doug headed JPMorgan’s senior housing platform and Sunrise Senior Living’s transactions and asset management divisions.

Column Guaranteed - Highlights
• 2008 Top 10 underwriter by volume (previously un-ranked)
• Combined with Credit Suisse, a leader in structuring and underwriting large SNF portfolios.
• Completed the first LEAN mortgage in December 2008
• Credit Suisse was one of the most active senior housing lenders
• First mid-size operator LEAN portfolio approval for purchase of 12 Arkansas facilities in Feb 2009:
- Submitted application in March 2009
- All commitments received by April 30
