Jeff Burns, senior vice president, is responsible for new loan origination in California and the western United States. He specializes in multifamily and healthcare financing for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and HUD. Mr. Burns joined Walker & Dunlop in February 2009 in conjunction with the firm's merger with Column Guaranteed, and had previously been with Column Guaranteed since October 2005. Prior to this, Mr. Burns worked for Deutsche Bank Berkshire Mortgage, Bank of the West and Citibank. With over $2 billion in commercial real estate transactions, he is considered a production leader. Mr. Burns currently serves on the board of directors of the California Mortgage Bankers Association and is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the Bay Area Mortgage Association. Mr. Burns earned a Bachelor of Science degree in political science from Oregon State University, and a Master of Business Administration in finance from the University of San Francisco.
